Abstract

This articel discussing about training of Surakarta Traditional Dance in the expanssion of teaching materials in the dance studio Sekar Ageng Klaten . The purpose of the training is accomodate the talent capability and enrichment in dancing sector for the students of art gallery, especially in Surakarta Traditional Dance. The targets are the students and the instructor. The formation is dance training activity and the expanssion of creativity. The outcome of Surakarta Traditional Dance is Pangpung Dance, Golek Tirta Kencana Dance and the dance result of the creativity of Bedayan Sesaji named Sesaji Yaa Qawiyyu. Training activity using dialogic and demonstration method. This training does not create a perfect performance or focus on mastery of the materials only, but more emphasis on the process. In the case of emphasizing the students on exploring a creativity, freedom, and flexibility in managing the body and express into a show. The training assign an understanding about basic creativity for create a creative work and to documenting audio visual, so that can be used as a reference in the learning of dance at the studio.
