Abstract

Prasojo lurik weaving is a weaving produced by weavers in the Klaten region that develop according to the trend to meet the economic needs. The development of lurik weaving in Prasojo can be seen from the equipment or techniques used and the diversity of the lurik shapes produced. This research is a qualitative research with historical and aesthetic approach. Data analysis technique is done by qualitative descriptive method and interactive analysis. The development of lurik weaving in Prasojo has an important role in the development and creativity of Klaten lurik. The various styles of lurik weaving have been made by luro industry Prasojo, there is a style of tradition and modern style. Various patterns are made by going through several stages in accordance with the equipment used ATM and ATBM. Visually, the type of lurik fabric has a shade structure consisting of two or more lines followed by colors as a line filler. The striated pattern can be classified as either lajuran, unlucky, or reptile. The depiction of the lurik fabric in Prasojo features more bright colors, as an appeal to consumers. Striated fabrics can be identified through materials, techniques, colors, line composition, plane, and texture
