Abstract

"Titihan" was work of choreographer Dwiyasmono. This work took everyday activities of pedicab man in Suronatan, Baluwarti, Surakarta. Stage in this work was real social time and space that happened in Suronatan. Baluwarti. Word "Titihan" came from Javanese of "tilih" (taking a ride) added by suffix ". an" meaning transportation appliance. "Titihan" interpreted not just as a physical object. however also a life symbolism . Pedicab representation a real social life Javanese tradition what will disappear, beaten by era progress. "Titihan" intended as an art show which at one blow offer a reflection for everyday life of human being.
