The Sintren dance is widely performed, especially in the coastal areas of Central Java and West Java, from Pekalongan, Pemalang, Tegal, Brebes, and Cirebon. The Sintren musical encompasses all musical activities related to the performance of the Sintren art form. Initially, the Sintren art form used gamelan karawitan music as its accompaniment. The Sintren dance has undergone changes as the ways Sintren artists create have evolved. The artistic approach in this case is aimed at the musical changes in the Sintren Sekar Lulut group. Sekar Lulut uses dangdut music in their performances. The development of dangdut music is so diverse and has been able to endure until now. Dangdut remains popular as a form of artistic expression in society to this day. The relationship is that dangdut can develop and enter the gap in Javanese traditional arts, particularly in the Sintren art form.
