Dialog antara Sultan Hamengku Buwana I dengan R.M. Tirtakusuma atau R.M. Ngali, putra dari Pangeran Mangkunegara Selong, putra dari Susuhunan Amangkurat IV atau Amangkurat Prabu di Mataram Kartasura. Dalam dialog ini terdapat tiga bagian yakni; (1) bagian pertama: dialog Sultan menanyakan kemampuan tari Tirtakusuma akan Beksa Medura yang masih kurang dan pertanyaan Sultan kepada Tirtakusuma apakah sudah mempunyai ilmu Joged Mataram, yang ternyata diakui kemampuan Tirtakusuma masih kurang, (2) bagian kedua: dialog Sultan berada di Bangsal Kencana mengajak berlatih Tirtakusuma menari bersama dalam gerakan tiga gongan Joged Mataram, hingga mencapai area Tratag Prabayeksa; (3) bagian ketiga: berupa nasehat Sultan kepada Tirtakusuma agar tetap menjaga ilmu Joged Mataram selalu dipelajari dengan baik dan benar sesuai anjuran Sultan sebagai penciptan Joged Mataram. Melalui ilustrasi sumber ini diketahui adabya indikator bentuk transformasi nilai filosofis, nilai militeristik, dan nilai estetik yang melekat dengan semangat ksatria dalam belajar tari gaya Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk mengkaji konsep satriyo dalam tari klasik gaya Yogyakarta.
