Abstract

The pu rpo se of this crea tion resea rch is to examine the ph eno menon of esuk-sore style batik and then develop it into a textile design work by com bining or com bining ecop rint and hand -draw n batik techn iqu es. To ob tain resea rch results that are in accordance with the ob jectives, a textile design crea tion resea rch m ethodo log y and a craft crea tion app roach are used. This crea tion repo rt is in the form of a crea tion resea rch repo rt or a descriptive work repo rt, which is suppo rted by ae sthetic theory. The resea rch location covers Surakarta and its surround ing s. Sou rces of data includ e in form ants in the form of inform ants (culturalists, historians, collectors, design ers, batik entrepreneurs), artefacts in the form of batik cloth, ecop rint cloth, hard cop y / soft cop y of do cum ents, social science and m antifacts. The sam pling techn iqu e is pu rpo sive sam pling to avoid taking sam ples that are no t in accordance with the pu rpo se. Data collection techn iqu es use in-depth interviews and Focuss Group Discussion (FGD) techn iqu es. For ob jectivity of data validity level, data triangu lation and sou rce triangu lation techn iqu es are used. Data analysis used an interactive analysis m od el. The ou tpu t of this resea rch is the pub lication of scientific resea rch articles pub lished in repu table internation al jou rnals, resea rch repo rts, and tw o m od els/prototype of batik esuk-sore with a com bination of ecop rint and hand -draw n batik techn iqu es.
