Abstract

This study entitled " Gaya Penyajian Samsuri Sebagai Interpretasi Tari Gagah Gaya Surakarta Dan Mangkunegaran". is a study that describes the Samsuri presentation style with experience from the educational process and also learning at the Mangkunegaran temple. The style of presentation is Samsuri's interpretation when presenting a dashing dance, both Surakarta style and Mangkunegaran style. This presentation style is a talent or ability that each individual has and is different from other dancers. The long process of getting each style takes a long time and is full of hard work, so there needs to be a discussion to find a way that can be applied and imitated by young dancers who are in the world of dashing dance. The uniqueness of this presentation style is expected to make a way for dashing dancers to find their own style. The disclosure of this presentation style is drawn from the samsuri process of becoming a dashing dancer in the Surakarta and Mangkunegaran styles. The way to find this presentation style is by using a dance fact approach (works, dancers, and observers). Dance facts are processed from data obtained from Observations, Interviews and Literature Studies. The collected data were then analyzed using historical and ethnographic approaches to dance.
