Abstract

Srandul art is an art that is still popular with the residents of Dukuh Sarap. Besides as an expression of entertainment, Srandul holds the value of life, spectacle and guidance. Objective This research describes the form of the Srandul play Cokroyudha Mantu performance. Theory the structure and texture proposed from Kernodle are used as deep analysis this research. The results of the research show that Srandul play Cokroyudha Mantu has structure and texture that still maintains existing standards. Srandul play Cokroyudha Mantu gave rise to the names of six figures, namely Cokroyudha, Dadungawuk, Roro Manis, Roro Wilis, Woro Ganyong, Cokrosudarmo. The dance consists of monotonous movements to the left and to the right with gloves and napkins. The obligatory song is patalon opener and each appearance of a character is accompanied by Parikan or Javanese rhyme. Form of performance The play Cokroyudha Mantu has a progressive plot structure. Characters in the play Cokroyudha Mantu is analyzed through physiology, sociology and psychology obtained from dialogue analysis and the actors, the theme in Srandul's play Cokroyudha Mantu is greed or greed that brings disaster and the spectacle contained in Srandul in the form of movement dance, special music, make-up and clothing, stage, atmosphere created through music patalon opener.
