Abstract
The research entitled "Aesthetics of Ngudarasa in the Kethoprak Balekambang Performance of the Play Ken Arok" analyzes the aesthetics contained in one of the scenes in the Kethoprak performance, namely ngudarasa. The problems raised are: (1) why the ngudarasa scene is conveyed in the Balekambang Kethoprak performance of Ken Arok's play and (2) how the ngudarasa scene is conveyed in the Balekambang Kethoprak performance of Ken Arok's play. The aesthetics of the ngudarasa scene are analyzed using the 3L (lagak, lagu, lageyan) concept. This research uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, interviews and literature study. The results of this research show that through aesthetic research on the ngudarasa scene, new insights into the cultural richness and values contained therein will be opened. In the context of Javanese culture, the ngudarasa scene is an important medium for exploring and understanding the various internal conflicts of the characters in the main theme of the story. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of traditional Javanese performing arts, but can also help preserve and appreciate this cultural heritage.
