Abstract
The creation of Rock Painting: Exploration of 3-dimensional painting techniques on rock media is an experiment in the use of media in painting to enrich the realm of contemporary art. To support the presentation of the work to make it look more meaningful it will be displayed together with the Noah Ship Replica, with the theme "Representation of Noah's Ark Ship with Rock Painting". If the stone has been considered worthless then a rock art creator is like a sparkling gem. Painting on stone media that has a porous surface, and is curved and irregularly requires certain skills. The Creation Process includes; Exploration, Design and Formation. The material used in the creation of paintings on the stone media is Acrylic Gouache, water and brushes. From the results of the creation carried out it was found that the right technique for painting on special stone media to achieve the goal of creation using naturalist techniques and / or styles.
