Abstract

This study entitled "Evaluation of the Availability of Literature by Using Citation Analysis on Thesis Students of ISI Surakarta FSRD in 2018 in UPT Surakarta ISI Library." In relation to this topic, the purpose of this research is, firstly, to know the availability of collection, provided in the library, which was cited in finishing the bachelor theses, the second purpose is to know what kind of literature was reffered to write bachelor theses of the FSRD ISI Surakarta students in 2018 , the last one is to know what language and its level of colletion was cited in completing the bachelor these. This research uses quantitative methods. This research is descriptive with the subject of thesis research students FSRD ISI Surakarta in 2018 totaling 49 theses. While the object of this research is the entire citation contained in the bibliography of the thesis. Whereas, the object of the research is all literatures provided by the bachelor theses appeared in the list of reference numbering at 906 items. The result of the research shows that The availability of collection referred in the library is by 488 (53,86%) items and the rest, by 418 (46,13%) items is not available, there are 5 kinds of literature used as reference in writing the bachelor theses FSRD of ISI Surakarta graduated in 2018, namely; book by 776 (85,65%), bachelor thesis by 89 (9,823%), journal by 36 (3,98%) master thesis by 4 (0,441%), and research report by 1 (0,110. In addition to that, there are two languages of the collections referred, namely: Indonesian and English. The first one is mostly referred by 852 (94,039%) times, and English 54 (5,96%) times.
