Abstract
Folk art forms, like other art forms, is form of expression of individual or group to compensate aesthetic needs. This expression does not appear out of nowhere, the influence of material and ideational aspects in a realm of culture. A community are embodied and expressed by the messages and symbols of local aesthetic that is very exciting to be excavated and interpreted. Kentrung art as an object of this research has interesting and important expression of community supporters. This relates to the ownership of art which is managed by a society characterized by a special in Jepara is a community of people Kuna/Suker. A community of people who quirky and consistently maintain the culture of "ancestor" them. They have art in life, and art (kentrung) is a vehicle and the mode of symbolic expression of their quirky life simulation. As to whether the symbols constellation in music and speech language contained in this kentrung art? This study will try to peel attractiveness that exist in two forms of this art genre of art speech through a naturalistic approach to the phenomenological perspective, a greater emphasis on emic viewpoint with hermeneutic analysis.
