Abstract

ABSTRACT Karawitan adult child is progressing, both in quality and quantity. It is not out of the role of education both at school, and in the family. The role of school programs in the cargo hold or the local art esktra area as well as a bridge early introduction of musical arts to children. In addition, local governments have also contributed in providing a dedicated space, or a means to express and show off the skills to play gamelan for children, such as race event musicians, performing arts, children's creativity Solo (Kreaso), and so forth. On the basis of this condition PKM activity lecturers also contribute in energy and thought to contribute to the advancement of musical children, especially in the city of Surakarta. One of the musical child who will be the target of this program is SDN Sabrang PKM Mojosongo Lor. In these places there is a tremendous potential for children to play in the Javanese gamelan, but the lack of special attention, especially in terms of coaching. The target outcome of this activity is to maximize the potential of children SDN Sabrang Lor through musical training, in order to face competition musical, and performing arts.
